The media has compared the FBI’s current serial killer to Jack the Ripper. Not because of the way he kills, but because he can evade law enforcement. This killer has an agenda, he believes his acts will purify women right down to their corrupt souls. While his work is well known, the FBI still cannot do anything. That is until Agent Tilda Wain decides to think outside of the box. The best way to catch a serial killer is to seek out the help of another. The only killer that can be of assistance is one that holds the same beliefs. Even though Hyde is their ideal helper, his views and time in the asylum make him unreliable. While Hyde does hate women, Tilda knows a way around such trivial matters. In her attempt to gain more information, Tilda soon finds herself in the line of fire. If she persists in her search, more than her honour will be lost.

Review

The FBI currently have a serial killer that try as they might and with all their available resources and man power willing and able to see this animal put to justice, they can’t seem to catch this man nor can they or anybody out in the community identify him. The only thing that is known about this guy is the extremes this guy will go to, to purify these creatures  right down to their  corrupt souls.

FBI agent Tilda Wein knows one thing for sure the only thing the FBI has going for it at this moment in time is a rise in body count and it’s only going to get bigger if she and her team don’t do something drastic thinking outside the box she knows the best way to catch this serial killer is by seeking out the help of another.

I knew the minute I’d read the synopsis I just had to see this serial killer go down, I also hoped with a cover like that I wouldn’t be disappointed.

Right from the get go Deviously Sincere had me in its sights and wouldn’t let up until I was captured by the close of the last chapter, thanks to the fast paced unveiling of the plotline and the believable characters and the realistic situations the FBI found themselves in I was able to really invest in this book and it’s message. Author Alayna Hallward has crafted characters in such a way this reader found themselves wanting to see this monster bought to justice not once guessing who he was until it was absolutely necessary. Hallward has also done a great job in creating touches of light in amongst all the dark with Tilda Wein and other female characters and use of flowers.

Thanks to Hallward’s writing style I was able to see the world she’s written surround me, I was able to create images of these characters and  locations  in my head.

“To the world I am nobody, but to women I am death”

I hope to get my hands on other books in the Deviously Sincere series (if there is a series in the near future?). As I need to know more of  what happens to the characters.

Any Mystery/Thriller fan should look no further than Deviously Sincere.

I would like to thank BookSirens and author Alayna Hallward for allowing me this opportunity to read the book in exchange for my honest opinion.  Â
